About Us

The Jerky Universe started out creating and selling our own beef jerky products in 1995. Since then, we have a long history in the jerky marketplace and have literally been to space and back. 

NASA selected our Final Frontier Jerky to bring on its mission to Mir Space Station in 1996, making us the first company to send its jerky into space. Now that’s what we call a product launch. 

After more than 25 years selling beef jerky, including two more trips to space and orders from as far as Antarctica, we decided that we have even more to offer. So, we expanded our marketplace to include other top jerky brands (not just beef!), created a monthly subscription program, and started writing everything we know about jerky on our blog.
