Where are your products made?
Our jerky is made in the United States.
Where are your products packaged?
We package our products in California.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, it’s recyclable in most cases.
Where does your meat come from?
Most of our beef is U.S.-sourced. Due to pandemic-era supply chain shifts, we import some from Argentina and Uruguay.
Are your products kosher or halal?
No, our products are not certified kosher or halal.
Where can I find nutritional information?
Most jerky nutrition information is on your product packaging. You can also find nutritional information on individual product pages and our beef jerky nutrition blog.
Do your products contain gluten?
It may. Gluten is present in wheat, which is in the soy sauce in some of our products. Please check the flavor and specific nutrient label for soy or wheat warnings.
Do your products contain MSG?
It may. MSG naturally occurs in soy. If you buy a product with soy flavoring, then MSG is in the product.

Do your products contain nitrites?
No, our products don't contain nitrites. We do use potassium-based ingredients, but these aren't the same as nitrites.
Does your packaging list allergens?
Yes, we declare allergens in the ingredient list. For example, if you buy a product with soy, the product label will say so.
Does your jerky need to be refrigerated or frozen?
Unopened jerky is shelf-stable for up to 12 months. In hot climates, refrigeration is best. After opening, refrigerate or freeze and eat within 1–2 days.

Do I need to adhere to the “best by” date?
Yes. We recommend eating jerky by the listed date for best quality and safety.
What is the small white packet in my jerky bag?
The small white packet labeled DO NOT EAT is silica gel, an oxygen absorber that helps extend shelf life. Our blog post answers what happens if you eat the packet in jerky.
How can I tell if my jerky has gone bad?
Start by checking the use-by date. If it’s expired, we recommend throwing it away.
You should also look for visible mold: That’s a clear sign the jerky’s no longer safe to eat. Mold can form if the packaging was punctured or if the jerky was exposed to too much oxygen during storage.
